Job Description

Our client, a financial services company based in Pasadena, is looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support their accounting operations. This role is approximately 20-25 hours per week and is suited for someone who works well independently and can manage recurring financial tasks with minimal oversight.

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end close processes. The position works closely with the controller and office staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting across multiple accounts.

This is a stable, long-term part-time opportunity with consistent scheduling. The ideal candidate brings hands-on bookkeeping experience, proficiency in accounting software, and a methodical approach to financial recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Record and categorize daily financial transactions in QuickBooks
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare and send invoices to clients as needed
• Assist with payroll data entry and verification
• Generate basic financial reports for management review
• Maintain organized digital and physical financial records
• Support the controller during quarterly and year-end close

Requirements

• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Desktop
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
• Experience reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
