Job Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Under limited supervision, keeps assigned buildings clean and orderly; prepares rooms for meetings; maintains grounds around buildings including parking lots and sidewalks.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND PERFORMANCE:

• Sweeps, scrubs, strips, and waxes floors; dusts and polishes furniture and woodwork.
• Replenishing supplies.
• Empties and cleans waste receptacles.
• Washes windows and walls.
• Assists in moving and arranging furniture and equipment.
• Turns out lights and locks and unlocks doors and windows.
• Cleans restrooms.
• Vacuums carpets.
• Maintains grounds by performing watering, planting,
• Cleans up grounds by picking up paper, trash, and other debris
• Shovels snow.
• Transports and stores recycled materials.
• Does laundry.
• Puts up and takes down holiday decorations.
• Maintains equipment and materials including vacuums, sanitization equipment, floor polishers/buffers, snow blowers, and other equipment as assigned.
• Sets up and cleans rooms for meetings.
• Runs errands in County vehicle.
