Project: Data Center Co-location and Migration Project

Project Overview:

• The project focuses on executing a large-scale data center co-location and migration initiative for the NYC Department of Social Services
• The primary objective is to migrate legacy IBM FileNet content management systems from existing environments to a modernized, secure, and resilient infrastructure
• This includes transitioning databases (DB2/Oracle), upgrading FileNet P8 platforms, and moving systems from AIX to Linux environments
• The consultant will play a key role in ensuring seamless migration of content repositories, enabling secure archiving and retrieval, maintaining synchronization between production and disaster recovery systems, and optimizing performance
• The project also emphasizes minimizing downtime, ensuring data integrity, and implementing scalable enterprise content management solutions aligned with modern infrastructure standards

Required Skills:

• 4 years experience in migrating to large complex Filenet databases (DB2 and Oracle)

• 4 years experience with Develop a consolidated, resilient Content Manager environment prepared for the data center, supporting secure archiving and retrieval. This includes MSAR (Magnatic Storage and Retrival), Snaplock migration

• 4 years experience with Troubleshoot, monitor, modify, and debug FileNet MSS synchronization software between Production and disaster recovery Image Services

• 4 years experience in IBM Content Navigator and Filenet/P8 migration and planning

• 4 years experience in Design and implement upgrades, migrations, and architectural solutions for multiple document services system from AIX to LINUX platform
