Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and post journal entries as part of daily and monthly accounting activities.
• Assist with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
• Maintain and update financial records for multiple affiliated companies.
• Process payroll and prepare related reports.
• Manage sales tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Track and record fixed assets.
• Assist with job costing and project accounting as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date vendor records and documentation.
• Support annual audits and assist with tax preparation.
• Identify and help implement improvements to accounting processes and workflows.
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all financial data.
• Collaborate closely with the Business Operations Manager and company ownership.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience processing payroll is preferred.
• Proficiency with Aspire, INOVA, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
