**Job Description:**
We are Steady Stake LLC, a direct AI-driven blockchain software development company. This is a direct, in-house contract position – not a recruiting agency or job board listing. You will work directly with our software engineers and report to our co-founder.
**Overview**
We are looking for a Virtual Technical Operations Assistant to join our team directly. In this part-time, remote role (5 to 7 hours per week), you will support 1 to 2 software engineers with administrative and operational tasks. Your work will help our engineers stay focused on coding and project delivery.
Personality characteristics of good candidates:
* Highly organized and detail-oriented
* Comfortable working asynchronously with a remote team
* Curious about AI and blockchain technology (no coding required, but interest helps)
* Proactive communicator who reduces friction for others
**Responsibilities**
* Support software engineers with sprint planning, code review scheduling, and daily stand-up coordination.
* Create and update engineering tickets in Jira, Linear, or Asana.
* Organize GitHub repositories and update Notion with meeting notes and specifications.
* Filter emails and Slack messages to reduce distractions for engineers.
* Schedule deployment windows and track post-release action items.
* Assist with onboarding new engineers by setting up accounts and permissions.
* Manage calendars, meetings, and agendas.
* Perform light QA administration (log bugs, verify basic UI flows – no coding).
* Track contractor invoices and expenses using QuickBooks or similar software.
* Facilitate communication between engineering and non-technical teams.
**Job requirements**
* Minimum 1 year of experience as a virtual assistant.
* Minimum 1 year of experience directly supporting software engineers or a development team.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong asynchronous workflow skills using Slack, GitHub, and Notion.
* Ability to commit consistently to either 5 or 7 hours per week.
* Reliable high-speed internet, computer, and backup systems.
* Must be based in the United States and willing to pass a background check.
* Carry professional liability insurance (proof required before starting).
**Technical proficiency preferred:**
* Slack, Discord, Zoom
* Google Workspace, Calendly, Microsoft Office
* Bonus: familiarity with AI tools or concepts
