The Youth Program Manager is a year-round administrative position. During the winter months, the Youth Program Manager works with the Program Director as well as partner staff in the NPS and other Alaskan organizations to coordinate and confirm all aspects of our summer youth programs. Additionally, they work closely with our Talkeetna campus to help develop, coordinate, and host educational winter youth programs, both virtually and in person. Each summer the Youth Program Manager is responsible for hiring and supervising the seasonal Youth Field Instructor and day Camp Instructors and providing logistical oversight for all aspects of our summer youth programs. Candidates should be passionate about developing engaging and inclusive youth programs, possess strong management skills, and have a desire to live and work year-round in interior Alaska.

Alaska is pretty magical, and Denali Education Center's campuses are no exception. Our Denali Campus is nestled on 10 wooded acres along the Nenana River adjacent to Denali National Park and Preserve. It's an area that feels hidden and isolated, even during the busy summer season. On the other hand, our Talkeetna campus is a little closer to "civilization" in the middle of a quirky, tight-knit Alaskan small town.
Summer in Alaska is busy. There's something about the near-constant daylight that lends a special sort of energy to the whole season. We expect our employees to work hard, but there will also be a myriad of opportunities to play hard in the great outdoors.
